Uster, the third largest city in the canton of Zürich, with around 37,000 residents, is a dynamically growing city in the greater Zürich area and is known as an innovative regional center.

• Managing procedures for construction projects between building approval and final inspection including necessary checks and approvals (building approval, inspection of building installations, structural inspections, occupancy inspections, final inspections, construction site environmental inspections)
• Ensuring consistent and correct enforcement of building regulations
• Advising property owners and conducting building permit procedures for small construction projects
• Site visits and mediation in less complex neighbor disputes
• Handling complaints about unauthorized constructions, operation noise, and odors
• Enforcing public building regulations (detection, investigation, enforcement)
• Organizing and implementing substitute measures as enforcement actions
• Maintaining building permit records and preparing for archiving

• Completed apprenticeship as a construction draftsman EFZ or equivalent
• Extensive professional experience
• Training as a federally certified construction manager desirable
• Knowledge of public building law
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Negotiation skills
• Assertiveness
• Team spirit and sense of humor
• Category B driver's license
