POSITION OVERVIEW
Bcomp Ltd. is a young and dynamic Swiss company specialized in natural fibre composites. We de
- velop, produce and supply natural fibre reinforcements and preforms with high specific stiffness, for
- tries.
The Sustainability department is looking for a student with good experience in Life Cycle Assessment
(LCA, ISO to model the environmental impact of industrial processes involved in the production
of natural fibre reinforcements for the composite industry, based on primary and secondary data. We
also aim to build a prospective LCA for potential improvements of such processes in light of sustaina
- bility.
- MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gathering primary and secondary data for LCA
- LCA modelling according to ISO 14040 norms
- Prospective LCA for process improvement
- Creating reports and providing recommendations for inclusion in ESG reporting
- QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- B.Sc. or partial M.Sc., or equivalent, in Industrial Ecology, Sustainable Management, Industrial
- Engineering, Life Cycle Engineering, or related.
- Experience and theoretical knowledge with the ISO 14040 standard for LCA.
- English professional proficiency. French, German, Swedish or Italian also appreciated.
- Driving curiosity for independent problem solving
- Able to work autonomously and share relevant information with the team spontaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Education and/or experience in têxtile engineering, materials science, and/or polymer science
