Within GSK's Pharmaceuticals business, as Global Marketing directors (GMD) you are expected to generate Long Term Value for GSK and ultimately improve the lives of patients around the world.

The focus of this role is the launch of Blenrep for early relapse in combination therapy.

Effectively resolving the high complexity and ambiguity in shorter than usual timelines is critical for a major asset and a best in-industry launch.

This role is essential to coordinate, and course correct effective efforts between enterprise functions or at the global to local/regional interface.


Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with key representatives of enterprise functions, MCT markets and regions (personal or via team member).
  • Gain insight in priorities, deliverables, and challenges of each matrix entity. Establish oversight of functional roadmaps. Use knowledge to surface interdependencies and assist/challenge GPS team to increase effectiveness of functional plans.
  • Run the Medicine Commercialization Team (MCT) meetings from a transparent and aligned rolling strategic roadmap of decisions consistent with the partial plans of the members. Drive effective ways of working based on strong preparation of meetings and agendas focused on tangible outcomes, formulation of quality actions and disciplined followup.
  • Build and continuously improve in partnership with MCT a launch readiness roadmap of deliverables, decisions and quality checkpoints supporting a best in industry launch. Engage all enterprise players to support the roadmap through prioritized and coordinated action.
  • Design and run collaborative ways of working with engagement of global and local partners to effectively drive the prioritized launch readiness workflow with clear line of sight on value generation. Identify and operationalize metrics to inform early course correction for improved outcomes.
  • Establish and run a process to formally identify, characterize, prioritize and mitigate critical issues that require major crossfunctional coordination. Generate, sustain, pace, performance manage and terminate effective matrix ways of working to address these issues with pace.
  • Drive pace of geographic expansion in the launch sequence by coordinating interdependent functions, surface issues and facilitate resolution & decisionmaking.
  • Coordinate effective preparation of Quarterly Business Review presentations and Investor Communications. Leverage enterprise network and strategic insight for effective messaging.
  • Member of the Blenrep lead team to drive coordinated strategy and execution. Run performance management of deliverables to keep flow delivery high (Kanban).
  • Run the knowledge management of the MCT and the GPS/GSI/GMAP team.
  • Act as owner of enterprise processes (business & financial planning, Quarterly Business Review, etc.) and manage the interface to specific Oncology GPS strategy & operations, always in a way to drive brand priorities.
  • Seek feedback from internal stakeholders and GPS team members to continuously improve.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted within GSK appropriate code of conduct and compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience (i.e., roles in early commercial, marketing, business development, insights and analytics, pricing and market access, development)
  • 5 years of experience working in oncology across a range of solid tumors and hematological cancers
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes with pace in a matrixed environment, in complex and ambiguous situations.

D. or MBA
