Process Engineer Specialist

Job description:
Role purpose:
- Development, scaling, and execution of chemical processes for new intermediates/active ingredients or new synthesis routes on an industrial scale, ensuring safety and compliance with legal and internal HSE regulations at all times.
- Providing support and recommendations to production to meet supply chain and site requirements in terms of capacity, quality, costs, and sustainability. Troubleshooting process issues.
- Continuously improving one or more chemical processes, whether in established production lines or new processes, to enhance their reliability and sustainability at optimal costs.
Accountabilities:
- Defining and aligning development work with stakeholders.
- Planning, overseeing laboratory development work. Conducting scale-up processes and supporting full-scale plant trials to evaluate new and/or enhanced manufacturing processes to achieve agreed Supply Chain goals in collaboration with production.
- Participating in new or updated plants' commissioning, joining technical start-up teams to ensure adherence to design intentions and safe, effective production establishment.
- Offering proactive technical support to the production team and organizing assistance to resolve process issues and improve production performance.
- Understanding supply chain requirements and playing a key role in meeting objectives when required. Acting as the Technology Lead for specific steps within.
- Providing process engineering expertise and serving as the point of contact for project teams in this domain. Engaging in technical networks to stay updated on new technologies and innovations.
- Supplying technical information/expert guidance for Process Risk Assessments; collaborating with company experts to ensure timely availability of relevant data.
Required profile:
- Minimum Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, PhD preferred, with 2 years of industrial experience
- Proficiency in French and English
- Detailed understanding of systems for process modifications and their potential impact on product quality - formulation, regulatory aspects, etc.
- Experience and knowledge in process engineering, process definition & design (plant & equipment design, automation, simulation), scale-up, plant establishment, and manufacturing support
- Demonstrated track record of meeting project timelines in a dynamic setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities with a proactive work approach.
- Adaptability to manage shifting priorities and deliver complex projects within tight deadlines.
