Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Chemist with expertise in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and food chemistry to join the Analytical Development Group in Münchwilen (AG), Switzerland. As part of this role, you will play a vital role in the development of innovative Pesticides.

Role Purpose:
As a team member in development projects, you will lead analytical tasks such as method development, validation, structure elucidation, and stability testing for active substances. Your role is crucial in supporting process and formulation development, providing essential data for worldwide chemical registrations, and ensuring quality control with external manufacturers. This position offers an opportunity to enhance your skills in analytical science and technology, potentially leading to a managerial role at Syngenta.
The well-equipped labs offer various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.

Required Profile:

What We Expect:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or related field (organic chemistry background advantageous). PhD candidates are welcome.
  • Proficiency in modern analytical methods, especially chromatography and spectroscopy, with experience in method development.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, project management experience beneficial.
  • Effective communication, teamwork skills, and flexibility in approach to work.
  • Experience in international project teams, fluency in English and German (or willingness to learn German).
  • Post-qualification experience, particularly in a GLP regulated environment, is a plus.
