About Zinc Assets in Australia:

Our Zinc Assets in Australia feature various operations spread across different locations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants, and port facilities. Lady Loretta Mine, located about 140kms to the northwest of Mount Isa, operates with a dedicated team overseeing the extraction of high-grade zinc, silver, and lead. Employees maintain an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns, with possible alternatives like DIDO from Mount Isa.

Role Overview:

Your primary focus in this position involves collaborating with the team and partners to ensure top-notch environmental outcomes and compliance with Glencore and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, engaging in monitoring programs.
  • Offer precise and consistent environmental advice while driving continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicate across different workforce levels and with external parties.
  • Lead environmental projects and contribute to Environmental Authority amendments.

Requirements:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Management.
  • Demonstrate a strong safety focus to uphold site safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Additional assets include prior experience in mining or similar environments and exposure to project management.
