Job Description:


The primary objective of the Financial Controller - Group's role is to develop financial models and reports to review and control the business activities of the Group and the Corporate Functions in order to allocate resources in an efficient and dynamic way.


This position is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team responsible for defining and maintaining a best in class analytical financial framework, for measuring the performance of the company by analysing actual, plan and benchmark data and for preparing sound and meaningful management reports.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Group's monthly closing process from a FP&A perspective, coordinate Region's deliverables and interact with the Group Consolidation Team
  • Provide the Group CFO with required monthly and adhoc analysis and manage monthly Board report production
  • Business Partner to the Corporate Functions (excluding IT) driving financial performance analysis, cost control, budgeting and forecasting in line with strategic and operational objectives
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in processes and costs structures
  • Responsible to deliver efficient monthly reporting to all stakeholders: Projects, cost centers Managers
  • Develop insights to support and steer financial understanding and influence decisions
  • Responsible for the development of the Group Dashboarding Tool (CXO) including the maintenance of the best practices in design and coordination of the superuser team
  • Manage resource with the goal to deliver processes in the most efficient manner
  • Support the Group CFO, Group Controller and FP&A Director in strategic initiatives and adhoc requested for financial information and analysis
  • Participate and champion Finance Transformation projects such as Symphony
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

Qualifications:

  • University degree in business, economics, or accounting.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant financial controlling experience in an international group.
  • Experience in multicultural and matrixdriven environments.
  • Proficiency with ERP or reporting systems, preferably Oracle Essbase / CXO.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
