Electronics Engineer

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to join our team in our brand-new office in Renens – Lausanne Area.

In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers from multidisciplinary teams to design, prototype and validate electronic systems, that includes optoelectronics and image sensors, microcontrollers, wireless communication and power management modules. You will also work on development and integration of new hardware features to enable new functionalities of the product.

This position is 100% on site.

YOUR MISSION

• Design and prototype electronic systems, like circuit boards (rigid and flexible) with optoelectronics sensors, microcontrollers, wireless communication, and power management modules, to integrate with mechanical and embedded subsystems

• Create the PCBA production files and follow-up production activities

• Execute validation of PCBA prototypes as well as evaluate and test electronics components to ensure that they meet system requirements

• Contribute to developing of effective maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures

• Document design, testing, and evaluation results in accordance with industry standards and regulations

• Collaborate closely with other R&D members, including embedded system, firmware, and optomechanical engineers. Contribute to system specifications to optimize lead times, development, and maintenance costs

• Participate in electronics design review

YOUR PROFILE

• MSc or higher in electrical engineering, physics, or any related field

• 3+ years of proven experience in electronics engineering

• Demonstrated experience in digital and analogue hardware development for battery operated devices, including sensors, optoelectronics, microcontrollers, wireless communication and power supply

• Experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCAD)

• Hands-on experience with electronics assembly (SMD, BGA, wiring)

• Experience with development of consumer electronics devices is a plus

• Knowledge of optoelectronics and imaging systems is an advantage

• Knowledge of PV technology is a plus

• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing constraints (multi-layer, flex, HDI) and standards

• Ability to take responsibility of tasks and problems, provide solutions, and understand their impact on other hardware/software components

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

• Fluent in English
