Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. Role Overview:

The role involves maintaining electrical infrastructure within the village, airport, and administration areas of MRM.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and install electrical infrastructure within the village, airport, and administration areas.
  • Perform maintenance and installation work in other areas as required.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory requirements.
  • Plan and complete minor approved projects.
  • Mentor, develop, and train apprentices and trainees.
  • Assist other trades and MST workers as needed for business operations.

Successful applicant will have:

  • NT Electrical Workers Licence (A Grade).
  • LV rescue and CPR (required annually).
  • NT C Class drivers' licence.
  • Experience in CCTV security camera installations.
  • The ability to work with fibre optics data installations.
  • 5 years post trade experience building maintenance and minor project work.
  • Desirable qualifications include HV Switching tickets, Bobcat, HR Licence, EWP, Working at Heights, Forklift, Excavator, and S1, S2, S3 certifications
