Mechanical Senior Engineer
YOUR MISSION
As part of a project group, you will be responsible for the mechatronic design of our assembly machines based on client specifications while meeting deadlines, costs, and quality requirements.
- Analyze and respond to client specifications for the mechanical design of complex projects.
- Define and size components, carry out mechanical design using 3D software, create detailed plans, assembly plans, and bill of materials.
- Create timing diagrams (define the kinematics and dynamics of mechatronic systems).
- Develop mechanical functional documentation for our machines (FDS, DS).
- Present and defend the studies conducted at technical project reviews with clients or internally.
- Provide support and follow-up in the workshop during the machine assembly/commissioning phase and update plans accordingly.
- On some projects:
o Coordinate and supervise the work of a team of builders.
o Maintain the mechanical design task schedule.
o Act as the main contact for clients and project managers regarding mechanical design matters.
- Act as an expert in your field, share knowledge, and mentor less experienced colleagues.
YOUR PROFILE
- Holder of an HES engineering degree in mechanics, machine construction, production technology, or automation (or equivalent).
- With 8 years of experience in a similar position, in automated machine design, or in robotics.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, especially Excel, proficient in 3D design software and an ERP system, ideally Inventor and/or SolidWorks and SAP.
- Organized with a rigorous and precise approach.
- Methodical, working according to internal quality system guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders (colleagues, suppliers, clients...) in an international environment.
- Proficient in French or a native French speaker.
- Very good English skills (minimum B2 level).
- Knowledge of German and Italian would be a plus.
- Willing to travel occasionally to clients, including abroad.
