Position:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting directly to the Production Technician & Quality Control Manager, the Production Technician & Quality Control will collaborate and be responsible of the manufacturing management and product quality control for denim products for all the Guess Apparel lines (Guess Jeans, Marciano, Factory Outlet, Fast Track, Kids, Active, Swim & Underwear).
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check incoming inspection procedures and sampling and respective reports
- Raising of nonconformance against inspected products and forwarded to suppliers, product department, and production coordinator for claim
- Raising of nonconformance for outoftolerance rolls and forwarded to the product department
- Liaise with suppliers and Sourcing Manager on site to view goods issues
- Maintain uptodate copies of all the alterations or amendments in discussion with the Sourcing Manager and product department
- Monitor and record of processing of all samples, swatch etc.
- Evaluate customer returns in conjunction with the Customer Service and production coordinators
- Continually assess supplier quality and report details
- Deal with SMS Fitting, size set & PPS requests
- In charge of the bulk material/auxiliary materials' delivery time, supervise the quality control process, and communicate with the quality control organization.
- Ensure the material and auxiliary materials meet the quality standard
- Secure the product quality, and visit the factories regularly to ensure the quality and delivery time
- Conduct research and select manufacturers worldwide
- Monitor the approval process for clothing items during preproduction from an aesthetic, technical, and qualitative point of view
- Request and monitor chemical tests on items
- Support the R&D team to solve production issues and to improve the qualitative aspect of garments
- Open a claim with the vendor, and follow up the complete cycle with the Finance department, if quality is not aligned with brand requirements

Requirements:
- Significant previous experience in the same role and field (QC in Fashion Companies on denim categories)
- Textile and Quality Control knowledge
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Resultoriented
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of Window/Office system
- Working on crossfunctional and multinational teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to travel for various weeks during the year
