As reaction flavourist/chemist you will be part of a team of specialists within the European innovation organization. You will focus on developing next-generation reaction flavours from lab scale to factory level. You will manage commercial interactions, explore new flavour solutions and evaluate novel processing technologies.
You will be based in the Innovation Centre in Kemptthal and reporting to the Reaction Flavour Team Lead.

In this exciting role you will:
- Lead on projects cross functionally, cross regionally
- Design and conduct experiments in food chemistry with a clear link to flavor formation
- Investigate and apply chemometrics and instrumental analysis to gain a better understanding of main flavor forming pathways
- Grow into the role of a reaction flavor expert to lead product and technology developments
- Collaborate with cross functional multinational teams (internal and external)

Keep proper experimental records
Communicate swiftly between diverse segments of expertise
Your professional profile includes:
- Masters/PhD in food chemistry/organic chemistry/chemical engineering or related areas Industry experience in reaction flavours is considered a benefit
- Experience in project management
- Experience by applying instrumental analysis /chemometrics and programming languages (e.g.: Python, C++)
- Basic expertise in leading product upscaling to pilot and factory scale
- Hands-on attitude and a clear affinity with working in the lab
- Investigative mindset and grasp of scientific concepts relevant to flavour chemistry
- Experience managing priorities Business fluent in English written and verbal; further languages are considered as an advantage
