In this role as a senior software engineer, you will be part of an international and multi-disciplinary team, reporting directly to the Head of Sensor Software in Switzerland. The Sensor Software Group has cross-functional collaboration with other teams such as Product Management, Electronics Development, UX/UI, etc. The team works in an agile and modular product development mode. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in the complete development process of products from inception to mass production. The dynamic working environment provides opportunities to work on projects incorporating cutting-edge technologies like radar, ultrasound, and eddy current.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Conceptualize, design, and execute software modules and applications for portable testing devices on various OS platforms (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android, multiplatform).
  • Engage in all phases of software development, including system architecture, coding, testing, release management, and production support.
  • Develop algorithms for data processing on local systems and in cloud environments (AWS).
  • Manage software projects, liaising with internal teams and external partners.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT

We are seeking a goal-oriented, communicative, and adaptable Software Engineer with the following qualifications and background:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development experience with C/C++ in the electronics or industrial domain.
  • Proficiency in Swift, iOS SDK, Android SDK, and Python is highly desirable.
  • Background in signal and image processing.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Self-driven, outcome-focused, team-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural setting.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a bonus.
