ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for an experienced biologist to be responsible for the design, execution and analysis of in vitro assays to support our drug development platform.

Being an experienced highly collaborative team player, you will be contributing to an exciting pipeline of bispecific and trispecific antibody therapeutics, being developed using Ichnos' proprietary BEAT platform to treat hematological and solid malignancies.

This job position will be located at our discovery site located in Epalinges, Switzerland.

Strong organization, communication and time management skills are a must to deliver in a fast paced 'can do' environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and run _in vitro _assays experiments including, but not limited to primary human cellbased assays, multicolor flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine profiling (MSD, Luminex).
  • Culture of mammalian cell lines. Maintenance and amplification, banking, quality control and characterization of multiple cell lines.
  • Isolate and culturing of primary human cells (ex. isolation of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells
  • PBMC).
  • Perform data analysis and report data in laboratory notebooks in a timely manner.
  • Presentation of results in English in regular team meeting.
  • Write detailed protocols in English.
  • Assist with general laboratory duties including lab equipment maintenance, ordering and receiving of lab supplies.
  • Comply with all safety HSE guidelines.
  • Perform other relevant responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical degree (CFC) or equivalent up to Masters level in biology or related field.
  • At least 3 years laboratory experience (industry experience preferred).
  • Experience with _in vitro_ assays using human primary and cell lines, including flow cytometry, is required.
  • Practical knowledge in multicolor flow cytometry data analysis using FlowJo or equivalent is required.
  • Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence expertise strongly appreciated.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Team player who collaborates and communicates effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in industry and drug discovery is a plus.
