Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting

In this position you will support the Group's expansion through the development and oversight of the external and internal accounting and reporting functions.
Responsibilities include leading the group internal and external reporting, developing and implementing group accounting policies and related control procedures, as well as overseeing the group accounting functions and managing the external audit process.
This is a highly visible and highly impactful role in an organization under continuous evolution.
As Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting you thrive at leading and managing group accounting and financial reporting processes with the ultimate objective to deliver the highest standards of group accounting reporting incompliance with IFRS, local regulation and compliance and Group internal policies.
- Fluent in English;
- Master degree in accounting or business administration;
- Swiss Certified Accountant, ACCA, CPA or equivalent;
- 10 to 15 years of combined public accounting (preferably in Big 4) and industry experience;
- Experience with multinational, public companies;
- Consolidated experience in managing and leading administrative process changes;
- Outstanding handson IFRS track record;
- Experience in accounting and Swiss (CO) statutory knowledge;
- Strong technical research skills and experience dealing with highly judgmental topics;
- Excellent writing skills and superb attentiveness to details;
- Familiarity with the cruise industry;
- Experience in ERP and CPM implementation projects;
- Lead the preparation of the Group's external financial reporting including annual and quarterly reports
- Lead the Group's monthly internal reporting process
- Ensure and is accountable for the Group's monthly multiledger closing and reporting, including management reporting
- Lead technical accounting research and preparation of documentation memos
- Guide and improve the global accounting operations with particular focus to the key entities of the Group
- Oversee the group consolidation process, including review of the subsidiary reporting packages to ensure a high level of financial data quality and accuracy
- Support group entities with statutory compliance and reporting where necessary
- Partner with other group functions (Controlling, Treasury, Business operation) as part of accounting and reporting activities
- Drive significant improvement in the efficiency of the reporting function\/processes to deliver shorter and highly accurate reporting cycles with disciplined processes and solid controls
- Serve as a key contact for the external audit process, both for the interim and final audit process
- Manage the accounting and reporting relation with the parent company
- Develop and manage the accounting team at headquarter level
- Review, assist, coach and train accounting colleagues across accounting functions and geographies
- Support the development of the ERP and CPM improvements and new financial systems implementations
- Participate in ad hoc projects
