Senior Mechanical Engineer

Your mission at Climeworks is to be part of the project team to deliver projects aligned with Climeworks' goals and visions. You will provide leadership by identifying design, schedule, cost, quality, and reliability risks, working with staff to quantify or qualify risks, making timely decisions. You'll report to the Group Lead Mechanical & CSA at basis level and to the Project Engineering Manager at project level. Responsibilities include supporting design processes, providing technical information on equipment, and contributing to the development of project specifications. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Coordinate external partners and EPC Contractors throughout the project life cycle
  • Support EPC Mechanical engineering group on FEED, detail design, and deliverables
  • Work on Equipment design, site preparation activities, and bid evaluations
  • Interface with Operation and Maintenance for issue resolution
  • Participate in relevant reviews such as P&ID, HAZOPS, and Value Engineering
  • Provide Construction support on site as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years' experience in process plants
  • Experience with API/ASME and/or EN ISO standards
  • Familiarity with mechanical static equipment inspection and testing plans
  • Experience in rotating equipment inspection and testing protocols
  • Experience in creating project deliverables and evaluating project opportunities
  • Ability to present to executive audiences and EPC contractors
  • Organizational leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • Driver's license for business travel
