Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is recognized globally for its expertise in power transmission and distribution. The Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) unit in Zürich-Oerlikon specializes in developing and producing gas insulated switching systems using advanced tools and methods.
Join our High Voltage team as a Contract Manager and leverage your analytical skills and teamwork to contribute to project success. You will be responsible for handling contracts, overseeing administration, and collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, and Project Execution.

Your responsibilities include:
- Developing comprehensive claim strategies for customers, suppliers, and consortium partners
- Conducting thorough claim analysis and formulating defense strategies with supporting documentation
- Presenting risk and opportunity assessments to stakeholders and defining project claim strategies
- Negotiating and settling contracts and claims collaboratively with the project manager
- Providing proactive support to project, site, procurement, and other teams to protect contractual rights
- Drafting and amending project documents such as change orders and contracts
- Reviewing terms and conditions of agreements during tendering to ensure alignment and proper risk management
- Supporting the tendering team with risk reviews during the tender phase
Your background should include:
- A Law degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing contracts in EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants
- Preferably experience in on-site contract management
- Proven success working with international teams and partners
- Expertise in change management, claims management, and contract-related legal issues
- Ability to adapt to different cultural situations while maintaining ethical conduct
- Consistent track record of structured work style
- Fluency in English and German for negotiations, additional languages are advantageous
