Head of Quality Control Operations

- Lead the QC laboratory in terms of budget, organization, lab strategy, and team development.
- Establish an organization that prioritizes service supporting both global pipeline Products and local capacity expansion.
- Develop operational budgets for the quality control organization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal management and across functions, managing a team of 4 to 5 direct reports and approximately 70 indirect headcounts.
- Cultivate a learning environment that encourages growth mindset ensuring employees' success.
- Drive innovation, digitalization, and environmental sustainability initiatives within the lab.
- Participate actively in the Global lab strategy, promoting Takeda's vision and values within the QC lab organization.
- Develop and implement quality systems to ensure product conformity to defined requirements.
- Manage regulatory inspections and customer interactions regarding product quality.
- Ensure adherence to specifications and procedures for product quality assurance.
- Oversee the development and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspection and testing.
- Collaborate with the Quality Lead Team, ensuring timely product testing and compliance.
- Promote safety, reliability, and compliance within lab operations.
- Investigate and report any out-of-specification results affecting product batches.
- Uphold EHS aspects, ensuring a safe workplace for the team.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Report critical issues to the Senior Leadership Team for necessary action.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory environment for biological products manufacture.
- Master's degree in Science (Microbiology and Chemistry).
- Over 15 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, with significant Quality Control and Production roles.
- Extensive management experience.
- Proficiency in French and strong English skills.
- Familiarity with Lims, Lean, Green Belt.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-facility global teams.
- Demonstrated integrity, innovation, drive, and accountability for results.
- Critical thinking and strong root cause investigation skills.
