At Curtiss-Wright we handle the engineering and manufacturing of components and systems for the defense and aerospace sectors. Our Switzerland facility specialises in the production of a wide range of control systems for vehicles.

Your Challenge:

• Purchasing Coordination: Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a costeffective and timely manner.
• Order Processing: Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotes to suppliers, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
• Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Conduct supplier site visits to assess production capability, performance, and delivery.
• Supplier Management: Maintain effective communication and interaction with suppliers to negotiate and settle claims, rejections, returns, overshipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
• Leadership and Guidance: Provide work leadership for lowerlevel employees, if applicable, and offer support and guidance as needed.
• Market Trends and

Commodity Management:

Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and product availability to contribute to commodity business plans and optimize procurement strategies.

Your Expertise:

• Proven experience in purchasing a variety of complex or technical supplies or services.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, change orders, and requests for quotes.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to select and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Knowledge of subcontracts and the ability to monitor cost, schedule, and scope to negotiate the highest quality at the best value.
• Experience in resolving supplierrelated issues and conducting supplier site visits to assess production capability and performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to process orders and maintain accurate records.
