The position

  • As the Global Public Affairs Lead, your primary responsibility is to drive and execute the global public affairs strategy for the rare disease and advanced therapies franchise. This involves close collaboration with relevant functions, as well as regional and incountry offices. Your duties include aligning rare disease public affairs priorities with commercial objectives, establishing enduring relationships with external partners and patient leaders, and advocating for Novo Nordisk's positions on key policy issues within relevant forums and multistakeholder partnerships.
  • In addition, your tasks will also be to:
  • Develop and execute public affairs and advocacy strategy for rare disease and advanced therapies, including cell and gene therapies portfolio
  • Integrate rare disease policy priorities into franchise commercial objectives to foster a conducive environment for future launches and establish Novo Nordisk's leadership in the field
  • Cultivate partnerships to enhance Novo Nordisk's prominence in rare disease, with the rare disease community
  • Monitor and analyse policy issues and trends affecting rare disease and corporate goals, developing relevant materials such as position papers
  • Collaborate internally to align policy objectives, engage senior leadership, involve incountry colleagues, and identify communication opportunities while ensuring compliance with legal frameworks in external engagements
  • In this role you will report to the Director Public Affairs & Sustainability, Novo Nordisk Rare Disease. The position can be based in Copenhagen, Denmark or in Zurich, Switzerland

  • You are characterized by an analytical mindset, proficient in conveying intricate concepts to various audiences with clarity. Your creative and innovative thinking sets you apart, enabling you to devise novel solutions to complex problems. Proactivity defines your approach, as you take initiative and drive progress without waiting for instructions. Your leadership capabilities shine through, as you adeptly guide and inspire others towards common objectives.
  • Master's Degree in Political Science, International Business, Public Health or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in public affairs in corporate issues, life science industry, consultancy or public institutions pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • Experience in designing and forming partnerships with a wide range of stakeholder
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate across a matrix organisation
  • Fluency in English
