Fachspezialist FEM

We are looking for a versatile Development Engineer who enjoys developing products and supporting our development projects as a specialized Finite Element Method expert.

• Independently conduct innovative product developments and ensure progress
• Prepare construction-related calculations, risk assessments, and tolerance analyzes
• Independently perform FEM calculations
• Calculate and optimize the structural strength of systems and modules, as well as support in calculations, statistical evaluations, and tolerance analyzes
• Institutionalize FEM calculations in the development process
• Evaluate and document test results, including proposals for product optimization
• Independently conduct real measurements for continuous accuracy improvement of FEM calculation results
• Collaborate on product optimizations related to functionality, cost reduction, production simplification, quality improvement, etc.
• Conduct feasibility studies
• Provide improvement suggestions
• Participate in planning, setup, and supervision of experiments for product development and ensuring functional quality. Analyze technical functional defects and optimize the system computationally

• Completed mechanical engineering degree (MSc or FH), several years of experience in creating FEM calculations and working with engineers in the R&D sector
• Proficiency in an FEM calculation program (preferably ANSYS) and common IT tools (MS-Office)
• Several years of experience with 3D-CAD (preferably NX9). Good knowledge of construction, drawing understanding, tolerance analysis, manufacturing-oriented design, etc.
• Knowledge in the punching, plastic, die-casting, and extrusion sectors
• Good German and English skills, dynamic, motivated, and proactive work approach
• Quick comprehension and analytical thinking, independent, reliable, structured, and goal-oriented work approach
