Description:

This position involves collaborating with the Security Engineering and Architecture (SEA) team, part of the Corporate Security unit.

  • Transforming and presenting data within the Bank's big data platform to the Governance and Assurance Team (and others)
  • Developing custom compliance checks where not available out of the box
  • Assisting other teams in handling results and operationalizing processes related to vulnerability and compliance monitoring
  • Troubleshooting scanning issues (vulnerability and compliance) including authentication failures and false positives
  • Providing platform support as needed (patching applications, etc.)
  • Other duties as necessary, considering changing priorities and responding to internal customer needs

Perfect candidate:

The ideal applicant will possess knowledge of the InsightVM platform and Azure Defender suite, proficiency in scripting with Python and PowerShell, familiarity with modern development methods like version control and CI/CD pipelines, and a background in data flows (ETL). They should be enthusiastic about security vulnerability management and compliance scanning, turning data into actionable processes, and enhancements.

They must grasp priorities, complete tasks with little supervision, propose improvements, and tasks autonomously, collaborate effectively with customers, and quickly provide enhancements.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Tune and troubleshoot the Bank's VM and compliance platform (InsightVM, Azure Defender Suite)
  • Develop custom scripts to verify technical settings align with the Bank's policies and standards
  • Establish custom logic to prioritize vulnerabilities and compliance issues
  • Integrate tool output into the Bank's big data platform for compliance purposes
  • Create queries (SQL or similar) for extracting pertinent data for reporting and alerting
  • Perform application patching for the Bank's vulnerability and compliance applications
  • Troubleshoot data quality and tool issues

Must haves:

  • Excellent Python skills, experience with PowerShell, integration work, structured data processing like Jason or CSV, data import/export into data platforms
  • Cybersecurity experience, understanding vulnerability and compliance management
  • Experience with data pipelines and workflows
  • Proficiency in modern development practices, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to comprehend user requirements and properly implement them in the existing tech stack

Interpersonal skills:

  • Strong drive to accomplish tasks in a secure setting
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, find solutions for existing systems/tools

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Dataiku DSS
  • Proficiency with Tableau
  • Knowledge of the Azure security ecosystem, particularly Defender suite
  • Additional scripting/programming language experience
  • Experience with SCAP policy development, OpenShift ACS, maintaining enterprise applications, troubleshooting
