Senior Manager - Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E)
The client offers an exciting opportunity to join the Parthenon Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team, which provides comprehensive IT and Operations advice to corporate and private equity clients during acquisitions, divestitures, or restructuring of businesses.
The opportunity:
As a Manager in the TS&E team, you will advise clients across various sectors, helping them develop and execute strategies for transactions. Your role will involve applying your technical skills throughout the M&A transaction lifecycle, including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review, and corporate carve-outs and integrations.
Your key responsibilities:
- Work on projects that span the entire lifecycle of a transaction, from technology due diligence, IT carve-out and integration planning, day-1 readiness, and IT exit readiness.
- Lead projects developing IT strategies in the context of performance improvement initiatives or value creation plans.
- Link business strategy and technology effectively, define recommendations, and create actionable plans.
- Manage project responsibilities, including commercials and risk, client relationship, and thought leadership in your area of expertise.
- Develop excellent relationships with senior clients, ensuring high client satisfaction with the engagement process and deliverables.
- Lead business development activities, including responding to proposals, upselling on existing engagements, and opening new client relationships.
- Lead practice development initiatives to enhance the team's work environment.
- Act as a role model and develop junior team members, coupled with recruitment and training responsibilities.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Industry and/or consulting experience related to transactions, M&A, or IT strategy and transformation projects.
- Broad IT experience, including infrastructure, applications, databases, and networks, or deep expertise in one or more core IT functions.
- Program and project management expertise, familiarity with industry standards such as ITIL or TOGAF.
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence in translating complex data into meaningful insights.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in corporate settings, managing project team members and vendors.
- Experience building strong relationships with senior clients, providing influence, advice, and support to key decision-makers.
- Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Bachelor's degree and approximately 10 years of related work experience, or a Master's/MBA degree with approximately 10 years of related work experience.
- Degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and German/French.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
