Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Head of Production to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Switzerland.

Our client is focused on developing and producing registered starting resources.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the production is aligned with the plan and in the manufacturing performance, HSE, quality, costs supply and resource management.
  • Assist the head of manufacturing to guarantee that a welloutlined asset management is in place as well as that it delivers high equipment availability.
  • Offer assurance on compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal needs via an efficient internal selfaudit and/or inspection program.
  • You will handle the management of all HSE, quality & cGMP risks within the production division, which may involve comprehension of the risks and controlling them.
  • Responsible for developing divisional objectives and methods and prioritising with respect to general objectives of the company.
  • Take decisive and suitable action when SOPs are not met.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to an advanced degree level in a chemistry or chemical engineering field.
  • At least 15 years of experience working within a chemical organisation with at least 5 of those years in a leadership production role.
  • Familiarity with cGMP/Pharma drug substance manufacturing would be ideal.
  • Acquaintance with batch manufacturing.
  • Expertise on GMP manufacturing and HSE and Q systems.
  • Knowhow of statutory and legal needs within production.
  • Past involvement in analysing and controlling financial/cost control practices.
  • Comprehension of business procedures.
  • Acquaintance with constant improvement practices such as 6 Sigma/Lean/TOC, etc.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Fluency in the German and English language.
