The Corporate Communication Manager is key in the Corporate Communication & Public Affairs team to enhance the company's positive reputation through developing and implementing communication strategies for external and internal audiences.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, this role requires a deep understanding of responsible corporate communication practices, including public affairs, media relations, digital communication, internal communication and other relevant activities to support the company's long-term objectives.
This position will focus on SMG Group topics while working closely with the Communication Managers of our Business Units.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing communication strategies aligned with corporate goals
- Support public affairs projects by preparing communication materials and assisting with stakeholder interactions
- Create, adapt and implement communication concepts
- Collaborate with partners to develop and update various communication assets (e.g. statements, press releases, QnAs, communication plans, etc.)
- Support communication projects (e.g. ESG, Cybersecurity, Finance & Insurance, among others)
- Facilitate internal communication for consistent messaging across the company
- Establish and maintain strong collaborations with Communication Managers of business units
- Manage SMG Twitter profile
- Handle media inquiries and monitoring
- Act as Media Spokesperson
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Communication or related field
- 5+ years of experience in corporate communications
- Interest in Public Affairs in Switzerland
- Passion for communication, editorial skills for target groups
- Good knowledge of the Swiss media landscape
- Strong team player and networker with a hands-on approach
- Interest in digital topics and tech sector
- Fluent in German and English (corporate language)
