Senior Scientist

We are currently seeking a Senior Scientist to join our team in the formulation department at Syngenta in Münchwilen (AG).

Responsibilities:

• Plans, designs, and conducts experimental studies for developing formulations primarily based on biological active substances.
• Leads microbiology laboratory and analytical activities crucial for product development in the biologicals field, ensuring capabilities and tools are up to date in a challenging and innovative environment.
• Applies scientific theories and techniques to solve technical issues encountered during development activities, seeking support from the network for scientific and data interpretation approaches.
• Generates innovative ideas and technologies to meet the design requirements of biological formulations.
• Engages in proactive collaborations and networking with internal support functions to efficiently deliver projects on time.
• Communicates complex scientific findings and recommendations effectively in various settings.
• Provides technical expertise to influence project decisions and acts as an ambassador within and outside the organization.

Qualifications:

• Degree (Masters or higher) in applied sciences, preferably in biotechnology or related field, with experience in microbiology and at least 2 years in the agrochemical industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English (at least B2) and German (at least B2) or a strong commitment to improving these skills.
