Embedded Software Engineer

Organization

You are part of the Platform team, focusing on integrating Speedgoat I/O drivers with the real-time operating system (RTOS) and optimizing system performance. Additionally, you develop and maintain software components for configuring and operating Speedgoat Real-Time Target Machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate and optimize RTOS with industrial computer hardware
  • Design C/C++ interfaces between RTOS and I/O hardware
  • Optimize RTOS for minimal latency
  • Develop and support software frameworks in C, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Troubleshoot and analyze real-time performance with MATLAB, Simulink, and other tools
  • Collaborate professionally with internal and external teams and partners
  • Provide technical support for production and product management during hardware updates
  • Create and maintain detailed software documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Experience with real-time operating systems like QNX, VxWorks, or POSIX
  • Proficiency in C, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Experience in developing device drivers for POSIX systems
  • Familiarity with ethernet communication protocols
  • Ability to be a knowledgeable resource
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Independent, reliable, and detail-oriented
