Your mission:

You will:

  • Support the development and optimization optical biosensing systems for biomarker detection in humans.
  • Conduct comprehensive tests and validations of biosensors in both laboratory and realworld environments, in clinical settings.
  • Prepare high quality documentation of all research tests and development processes and outcomes.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of detailed reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Guarantee that all laboratory operations are performed according to internal quality standards.
  • Support the maintenance of laboratory supplies and needs.
  • This role includes up to 25% travel to conduct experimental tests in Switzerland and EU neighbor countries.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Optical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in optical sensing technology and proven handson experience with experimental device testing in (bio)chemical lab environments.
  • Proficient in experimental test design, data collection, and device troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in at least one scientific software for data analysis and presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing project scopes and innovative project demands.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus), with strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experienced in laboratory management and operation systems is a plus.

Our recruitment process:


Starting with a 30-minute introductory phone interview, we proceed to group/technical interviews, ideally followed by an on-site interview and tour of our facilities.
