  • MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This is a part-time position. The working hours are approximately from 4 pm to 6 pm. The specific working days are yet to be determined.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promoting the school's mission and vision by assisting students, both day and boarding, to discover and develop individual strengths, make powerful, lifelong global connections, and be their best selves;
  • Contributing to the creation of a caring and inclusive learning environment in which students can flourish, ensuring that each student's health and wellbeing are given the necessary priority;
  • Embodying and promoting Collège du Léman's RISE values of Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, and Excellence;
  • Engaging and motivating students of all abilities;
  • Helping the Gymnastics Coach set up equipment and prepare the gym for various classes.
  • Assisting the Gymnastics Coach in instructing students, ensuring they understand and safely perform exercises and activities providing feedback and encouragement to help them improve their skills.
  • Helping with attendance tracking, equipment inventory, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with the Gymnastics Coach, students, and parents to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
  • Helping in the organisation and execution of gymnastic events and competitions, including setup, supervision, and cleanup.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • You are an experienced gymnast in apparatus gymnastics, whether as a coach, assistant, or participant, and you are passionate about sharing your love for the sport. You have a strong understanding of basic gymnastic techniques and safety protocols. You possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with the ability to motivate and engage children effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working with children in a coaching or supervisory role.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

CRUCIAL INFORMATION

  • It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships. You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
