BACKGROUND
Richemont Internal Audit is a Group function reporting to the Audit Committee of Compagnie Financière Richemont (CFR).
Its overall mission is to provide the Audit Committee and Management independent assurance that risks are promptly identified and adequately managed, with the aim to improve the organisation's activities and protect shareholder value.
The scope of audit activity includes the operations of CFR, and all Group operating entities.The department uses a risk register derived from and supporting the overall Group Enterprise Risk Management concept to conduct its engagements in the following three main regular audit categories:
- Risk assessments & Business Processes Audits (mainly Maisons and distribution entities)
- Global and transversal Process and Regulatory Compliance Audits
- Local testing of control effectiveness based on regional risk assessments
The department has the lead on (internal) fraud investigations group-wide and does monitor the functioning and investigations of the Group Speak up line implemented by the Compliance department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Based in Richemont Headquarter, the position of Business Risk Audit Manager will ensure an exposure to Group Management and direct contacts with other assurance functions, such as the Security department in charge of (external) fraud prevention including information security and asset misappropriation.
The performance of both investigations and standard audits in Luxury Maisons, Manufactures, and Distribution entities will allow the auditor to gain strong knowledge on business processes throughout the entire value chain.
The auditor will act independently from management but will be recognized as a trusted partner and will use data extraction, processing, and visualisation tools to identify insightful trends or exceptions and improve the control environment and minimise fraud occurrence.
The job ideally will suit a proactive, empathic, and culturally versatile person, able to work in a team with colleagues from around the World.
- Risk assessments, business reviews & transversal process audits
Like all Business Risk Audit Managers, become a referent in terms of controls and fraud prevention on global internal audit assignments in Maisons, Regions and through project activities as per the audit plan approved by the Audit Committee.
- Conduct independent financial and operational audits in accordance with the global plan approved by the Audit Committee.
- Identify, analyse, and report on business risks, process, and control weaknesses, provide sound recommendations for solutions, and follow up on corrective measures.
- As the 3rd line of defence, and by leveraging on data analysis tools available, schedule and perform substantive testing to ensure adequate control effectiveness and sustained compliance.
- Fraud risk assessment and fraud detection and investigations
Second the Group Head of Internal Audit in the responsibility to lead and monitor (internal) fraud related investigations work throughout the Group.
This involves the creation of a strong network of contacts indispensable for the various aspects of fraud identification and smooth investigation in line with legal requirements.
- To take over investigative work when assigned by the Head of Internal Audit or Group Speak up tool (triage function currently under the Group Head of Internal Audit and Compliance Director).
- Become a referent in good practices for investigative work and ensure that related endeavours and necessary interviews are conducted lawfully by liaising case by case with the appropriate Legal and HR support.
- To formalise investigation approach and results through classified reports in English language.
- Work closely with HR departments to monitor (but not impose) disciplinary actions related to whistleblowing and fraud cases. To ensure antiretaliation policies of the Group are enforced and effective in case of whistleblowing.
- To ensure all Richemont entities have and abide to investigation protocols clarifying roles and responsibilities as well as communication flows.
