Role
The Banker is the face of J.P. Morgan's Private Banking business.

The Banker leads new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, credit solutions and financial planning.

This role includes responsibility for the client experience and engaging our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution to clients.

The role is based in Geneva.

Responsibilities

  • The Banker Associate ́s primary responsibility is to work with Senior Bankers in the team in order to maintain and further develop the business.
  • Actively participate to prospecting and acquisition of ultra high net worth new Swiss resident clients
  • Responsible for sale and implementation of of investments, banking, credit solutions and financial planning to core clients with assistance from the integrated team to leverage and coordinate specialists, including Investor, Credit Advisor and Wealth Advisor to provide interdisciplinary expertise for our most complex clients
  • Manage each account to ensure that the client has a completed profile and that accounts are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Build trust with clients and effectively manage relationships such that in time they will be in a position to develop their own book of existing business consisting of clients focused within the relevant market.
  • Ensure that the proposed products and services maximize the client's needs, goals and objectives.
  • Engage with and develop network with other lines of business
  • The Banker's performance will be measured by objectives using specific financial and client satisfaction objectives.

Qualifications

  • Previous business development experience in Switzerland including cold calling to develop new client relationships is essential.
  • Established Swiss onshore network is required
  • Previous experience in Private Banking working with Ultra High Net Worth individuals and families
  • Demonstrated understanding of investments, banking, credit solutions and financial planning including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
  • Achievement oriented, highly disciplined and motivated, focused on exceeding business goals with meticulous attention to detail and proactivit
  • Impeccable sense of ethics and values
  • Collaborative team spirit and ability to work effectively in a team are essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment including regulatory and technological developments

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Internet/Intranet
  • Ability to learn proprietary software and databases and ability to master wealth planning software
  • Bachelors degree required (or equivalent)
  • French native is required and fluent in English
