Role Purpose


The Treasury Operations Manager is responsible for timely, compliant, and flawless execution (e.g., monitoring, controlling, releasing, confirming, matching and reconciliation) of transactions of Sandoz Group entities with a banking relationship in Switzerland as well as all Treasury related payments (e.g., BD&L and M&A transactions, dividend payments), managing and securing effective execution (disbursements, end to end quality checks, manual and exceptional cases, inquiry handling).


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Flawless execution (e.g., monitoring, controlling, releasing, confirming, matching and reconciliation) of transactions of Sandoz Group entities with a special focus on FX and Money Market transactions (e.g., FX forwards, FX options, Swaps, spots, time deposits)
  • Flawless execution of payments of Sandoz Group entities with a banking relationship in Switzerland as well as all Treasury related payments (e.g., BD&L and M&A transactions, dividend payments)
  • Drives operational improvements, addressing and solving operational constraints on a timely manner, deliver projects within predefined timelines and budget, together with the FRA Ops TCM and country Corporate Treasury/Finance teams.
  • Providing support for the maintenance and further development of systems linked to cash management and Treasury operations (e.g., Swift interface with external counterparties, confirmation and matching system for FX and Money Market transactions, SAP TRM module)
  • Collaborating and supporting monthly clearing / netting process for the Group
  • Supports the delivery of Global/consolidated cash management, cash position and cash forecasting reports to ensure maintenance of adequate liquidity while also managing financial risk effectively (e.g., adherence to counterparty limits) for Sandoz Group entities. Acts as the backup of the Cash & Liquidity manager

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor or University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or IT related fields
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken, excellent communication skills
  • Other languages are a plus
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, with good functional exposure to Treasury and Cash Management processes. Accounting and reporting experience is a plus
  • Indepth knowledge of Treasury processes and system solutions.
  • SAP knowledge: experience with SAP FI and Business Warehouse.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to align specific functional requirements with the overall Sandoz Group Treasury strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multinational organization
  • Previous experience working in projects to drive performance improvements (e.g. ERP / SWIFT implementation) is a plus
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and team player
