Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Intuitive seeks an experienced privacy professional to join our data protection team. Reporting to the lead EMEA privacy and data protection counsel, this role involves supporting teams across Europe and globally, contributing to the development of innovative products and services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on European data privacy and protection laws, including emerging regulations and trends
  • Advise business teams on data privacy requirements for projects and daily operations
  • Draft and negotiate data privacy agreements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on privacy matters
  • Develop global strategies for data privacy
  • Conduct training sessions

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years as a qualified attorney, with 4+ years specializing in data privacy. Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical companies is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of EU, UK, and Swiss data protection laws.

Skills include product assessment, privacy requirement definition, and strong analytical abilities. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in French and German is advantageous. IAPP CIPP-E certification is a must.

Required Education and Training

Law degree (LL.M., JD, or equivalent) and admission to practice law in a European jurisdiction and/or the United States. Additional data privacy certifications are beneficial.
