Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution.

The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.

Responsibilities:


Demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety standards and guidelines, management systems, and procedures Communicate health and safety initiatives, processes, and procedures throughout the organization to ensure all persons have a common and uniform understanding Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements and handling non-conformance issues according to relevant procedures Assist and guide all levels of management, supervisors, and employees on-site to implement incident prevention activities plus where necessary provide an interface to Contractors/Clients Roll-out, where necessary, initiate and maintain quality input of a health and safety management system Carry out safety audits, investigate incidents and root causes, introduce, and supervise corrective actions Ensures appropriate HSE equipment and tools are available and used on site.

Identifies, plans and initiates training needs for employees, site managers and contractors. Provide HSE related trainings and presentation to different stakeholders e.g., HSE Webinar, Townhall Meetings etc.

Your background:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of health and safety in project/customer sites and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of a site Pragmatic, action
- and result-oriented Practical "hands-on" experience in developing and managing safety systems with the ability to dig into site-specific details and develop solutions to complex safety issues Knowledge and experience with ISO45001 & ISO14001, OSHA legislation for construction sites, and as well as SUVA, EKAS guidelines. Ability to build trust with various stakeholders at all levels of management Ability to take actions, make decisions, overcome problems by yourself Good understanding of change management principles Working experience in Safety-related positions Solutions-oriented personality with a strong engagement Knowledge of and belief in the 5 HOP principals Strong decision making and solution finding skills Fluent in written and spoken German and English Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time, potentially on short notice
