An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Accounting and Finance Manager to join our newly created luxury travel brand "Explora Journeys".

  • Swiss Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum 68 years' experience, preferably with an Assistant Manager\/Manager experience in a Big
  • Able to operate in a fast moving, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
  • Hands on and capable of working at a detailed level, while also being able to step back and consider continuous improvement
  • Proactive and collaborative team player with the ability to bring projects to completion as per management expectations
  • Able to lead and coach a team
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and has strong organization skills
  • Able to communicate effectively to business partners and stakeholders
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS track record and experience in financial closing processes
  • Exposure with tax compliance, accounting, reporting and financing of entities in shipping is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience with data analytics is a plus
  • Guide the daytoday operations, and ensure high level of accuracy and compliance of the financial reporting with the rules and regulations
  • Implement, maintain, and enhance key control activities over Financial Reporting processes, including making recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Supervise the delivery of financial reporting data on a monthly basis to the consolidated team by the given deadline
  • Participate in strategic financial projects including the implementation of a new ERP software
  • Supervise the preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
  • Collaborate with external auditors
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as requested
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to achieve shared goals

In 2014, MSC Cruises launched a euro 9 billion, 10 year investment plan to support the second phase of its growth through the order of up to 11 next generation mega cruise ships.

As a result, MSC Cruises' fleet will double by 2026, while the passenger capacity will triple to reach five million passengers per year.

MSC Cruises is the first cruise company to develop an investment plan of this length and magnitude.
