The Opportunity
We are in search of an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team of engineering professionals. We specialize in developing, manufacturing, and operating production equipment for the cosmetics, food, and pharmaceutical sectors to deliver top-notch products to our clientele. Currently, our team is focused on expanding our first commercial production facility to introduce products in the Fine Fragrance market, potentially revolutionizing the industry.
The Impact
As a Mechanical Engineer at Microcaps, you will have a vital role in the development and design of our future encapsulation process systems. Your innovative ideas and industrial expertise will drive advancements in our production equipment. Your experience in clean process plants will be crucial in enhancing our continuous production process and ensuring top-quality product output.
Tasks- Contribute to a diverse team working on developing, assembling, testing, and commissioning innovative process equipment for microencapsulation processes.
- Focus on scaling our current setup as production volumes increase.
- Collaborate with the research and formulations team to define process plant specifications for different sectors.
- Lead your projects to ensure they are within budget, meet specifications, and are delivered on time.
- Prepare product documentation, including assembly, maintenance, and user manuals.
- Propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges and continuously strive to improve our environmental impact.
- Hold a university degree in engineering specialized in mechanical engineering and/or mechatronics.
- Possess over 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering (apprentices are also encouraged).
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D-CAD software, coupled with experience in DM/PDM environments.
- Experience in developing and documenting equipment according to machine directive standards.
- Hands-on experience in engineering encompassing product development, validation, and testing.
- Able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for working in a rapidly growing process technology company.
- Must hold a valid work permit in Switzerland.
Bonus Points:
- Intrinsic motivation for designing technical solutions for challenging chemical process issues, with a proven track record.
- Can effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable communicating in both German and English.
