Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger including reconciliations, banks, and intercompany
  • Handle accounts receivable & accounts payable including reconciliations
  • Conduct credit checks and oversee dunning process
  • Handle VAT settlements for CH and DE, including Intrastat and ZM filings for DE
  • Manage cash, fixed assets, and various administrative tasks
  • Responsible for cash management, liquidity development, and payment transactions
  • Provide training and support to accounting apprentices
  • Prepare independent monthly and yearly financial statements including monthly reports
  • Report directly to the Managing Director of Hempel Special Metals AG

Requirements:

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship
  • Further education as a financial accountant or equivalent (or in progress)
  • Work experience in accounting, preferably not in the service sector
  • Industry experience is a plus
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Structured, precise, and independent way of working
  • Excellent German language skills, English proficiency is advantageous
  • Proficient in common MS Office programs and ERP systems, experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
