Manager Process Automation and Manufacturing Execution System, Lengnau

: Management and staffing of the technical team: Process Automation Engineers (PCS/CUA/FMS) and MES Engineers internals and contingent workers Collaborate with diverse teams to design, develop, and implement process automation solutions using PCS/MES systems. Lead the operations of the team to ensure flawless delivery of automation solutions. Collaborate closely with individuals or groups to comprehend their needs and devise appropriate strategies to fulfill them. Provide technical leadership in complex problem-solving and decision-making Provide day-to-day support for the Process Automation & MES systems (DEV, VAL, PROD) Develop a sustainable support model that provides the appropriate service level to manufacturing and other collaborators to minimize manufacturing interruptions. Ensure alignment with Thermo Fisher Scientific procedures and practices that governs Change Control and Validation. Implement automation harmonization and standardization System owner of Process Automation systems & Manufacturing Execution System Provide engineering expertise and direction to employees and contractors to meet project and support schedules and financial goals while ensuring technical success. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in process automation, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. Shown experience in process automation using PCS/MES systems. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
