As our successful Strategic Procurement Manager, you will plan and lead category initiatives for a defined set of country functions at our European Headquarters in Zurich.

You will develop regional category strategies within indirect spend categories.


As our
Strategic Procurement Manager (SPM), you will lead proactive category projects to support the delivery of regional procurement targets.

This includes sourcing projects, demand management, and process re-engineering. Additionally, you'll support region-specific supplier performance and innovation activities.


As our primary Business Partner for the Local Operating Companies (LOCs), you will ensure that
Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement" (GREFP) activities at the local level align with regional and category team planning.

You will develop and implement local strategies in categories not supported by Global/Regional teams.

Your responsibility will be to ensure high-quality end-to-end user service delivery by understanding local needs and leveraging appropriate resources within the GREFP team.

You will act as a critical on-site liaison, linking Category teams, TBS, Real Estate, Facilities, Security teams, and the LOCs to ensure successful implementations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies across the region
  • Provide regional input to Global category strategies
  • Be accountable for delivering GREFP targets (savings, DPO, compliance, etc.)
  • Develop a pipeline of both category and LOC initiatives and opportunities to meet targets
  • Collaborate with CoE to support a robust approach to SP&I, systems, and tools
  • Drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance and improving efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Establish strong relationships with key business partners and act as the single point of contact for senior stakeholders in the LOC(s), working closely with category managers, CoEs, and Takeda Business Solutions (TBS)
  • Understand the organization's challenges and Takeda's future direction and business challenges to adapt appropriate strategies, structure, and approach to support evolving needs
  • Create a culture of compliance internally and externally where everyone adheres to Takeda's Global Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct

Education, Behavioral Competencies, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required (equivalent level qualifications/certificates)
  • Experience in indepth strategic and operational procurement
  • Demonstrated success leading regional/global teams to achieve documented savings through various sourcing strategies
  • Documented experience leading cost reduction and value improvement programs
  • Preferably, experience in the pharmaceutical industry
