VP - Distribution

Our client, a boutique Placement Agent based in Zug, Switzerland, specializes in connecting private equity and alternative investment fund managers with institutional investors globally. With a growing presence in the financial industry, they are seeking a Vice President (VP) for the fundraising and distribution team to expand their network of clients in London and across Europe.

As the Vice President for Fundraising and Distribution, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our client's business by expanding their investor base and fund distribution channels. You will leverage your strong network in London to facilitate fundraising activities and build lasting relationships with institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:

   • Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals in London and other European markets.
   • Understand the unique needs and preferences of clients to tailor fundraising strategies effectively.

2. Fundraising Strategy:

   • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to raise capital for private equity and alternative investment funds.
   • Collaborate with fund managers to create compelling pitch materials and presentations.
   • Evaluate market trends and investor sentiment to adapt fundraising approaches.

3. Distribution Channels:

   • Identify and establish distribution channels for fund placement across Europe.
   • Evaluate potential partnerships, distribution agreements, and co-investment opportunities.

4. Market Research:

   • Conduct in-depth market research to identify target investors and potential opportunities.
   • Stay informed about regulatory changes and market dynamics affecting the fundraising landscape.

5. Due Diligence:

   • Assist in due diligence processes and coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of fundraising and distribution activities.
   • Monitor and report on progress toward fundraising targets.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
• Proven experience in fundraising, investor relations, or distribution within the private equity, hedge fund, or alternative investment space.
• A well-established network of institutional investors in London and a strong understanding of the European financial market.
• Fluent in English and proficiency in at least one other European language.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.
