The “Finance Platform Management” team within the Group Reinsurance Finance function is looking for an experienced business analyst with a customer-centric mindset, the ability to transform business processes and lead projects.

 

As a team we are responsible to manage, analyze and enhance the complex reinsurance SAP system environment, which include Zurich’s Global Finance Core system (SAP FI-GL), the reinsurance subledger (SAP FS-RI/FS-CD) and related reporting environment (SAP BW/Power BI).  Zurich Insurance has recently moved the core SAP systems to the cloud and is now embarking on a journey to modernize the SAP system landscape.

 

In this role your main focus will be on the SAP financial systems and the related interfaces, as well as working with the modernization project initiative to ensure the Group Reinsurance processes are moving into a new system generation.


What you will do

 

In this role as Senior Reinsurance Technical Specialist, you will:

 

  • Manage changes and enhancements of the Group Reinsurance system landscape
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Group Reinsurance teams and collaborate with Zurich IT, platform mangers, external vendors and stakeholders
  • Act as consultant to propose or recommend alternatives for improvements to business processes and data/reporting requirements
  • Provide operational support on a daily basis, and during financial close periods
  • Analyze reinsurance system requirements, write functional specifications, test functionalities and coordinate change processes
  • Lead business projects to implement new/changed systems and functionalities


What you bring

 

As a Senior Reinsurance Technical Specialist your skills and qualifications should include:

 

  • Interested in working in a stimulating and challenging environment, joining a team of IT professionals building and running complex global solutions that are critical to the operations of Zurich
  • Strong Business Analyst skills (e.g. analytical skills, requirements engineering) in the SAP Finance space
  • (FI-GL mandatory; S/4HANA, FS-RI, FS-CD & BW are a benefit)
  • Minimum of 5 years in senior roles in business process improvement and SAP system implementation projects
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the (re-)insurance industry and corresponding accounting standards
  • Strong team player with the ability to multi-task
  • Reliable, resilient and trustworthy individual with a result-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills in German and English– written and spoken
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) beneficial
