About the role

Leonteq Securities AG is looking for a tax expert in the Group Taxes team. As a deputy Head of Group Taxes you will contribute to the tax management of the group. You will be deal with complex and comprehensive tax matters in the dynamic world of structured products in Swiss as well as international tax law. You will be part of a small team that leverages itself with a network of top tier advisors in Switzerland and abroad. There will be a high interaction with the teams in Finance, Legal & Compliance, Operations, Investment Solutions and Trading.

What you'll do

  • Manage all Swiss and international tax matters within the group such as corporate income taxes, transfer pricing and indirect taxes
  • Support Operations team by providing tax technical advice on operational taxes such as financial transaction taxes, stamp duties, FATCA & CRS
  • Represent tax function in projects on a group-wide basis
  • Ensure tax compliance and contribute to strategic tax planning
  • Correspond with tax authorities and coordinate tax audits
  • Prepare tax rulings
  • Manage mandates with external tax advisors globally
  • Support other teams within the group on tax matters
  • Monitor developments in tax environment to identify group’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

What you'll need

  • Master degree in business administration, economics or law
  • Diploma as Swiss Certified Tax Expert
  • 6 - 7 years relevant experience (i.e. 2-3 years after becoming a Swiss Certified Tax Expert)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German and interpersonal skills
  • Fast learner with high levels of confidence, professionalism, and diplomacy
