We are looking for a Reinsurance Underwriter, based in Switzerland.

Your Team

The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business of Allianz Commercial creates innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Regional Lob Head EMEA, you will provide underwriting support for strategic fronting transactions. You will communicate with external markets (cedents and brokers), internal functions and clients. You will also coordinate smooth transition of information between all actors of the transaction. Regular reporting on portfolio performance.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Ensure efficient information flow between clients and brokers/cedents
• Address and resolve issues and requests by coordinating with relevant internal functions
• Conduct portfolio analysis and communicate outcomes to internal teams and clients
• Monitor and analyse the impact of large events on the in-force portfolio
• Proactively communicate with brokers to request updates on developments
• Review cedents including ESRA checks, credit ratings, etc.
• Conduct preliminary assessment of submissions and filter/triage according to client's strategy and guidelines

• Apply the knowledge of underwriting procedures keeping in account the Property and Agri business
• Handle contract issuance and management
• Analyse business situations and challenges
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
• Utilize various reinsurance concepts
• Analyse data deeply and draw conclusions
• Proactively manage and prevent failures
• Utilise communication tools for customer interaction
