Job Description

Job Title: Head of IT-OT Infrastructure

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)

About the role:

As a Head of IT-OT Infrastructure (CIM), you will develop and build a Manufacturing & Laboratory Critical Infrastructure strategic vision for all Takeda manufacturing sites and provide direction to Critical Infrastructure support teams in implementing this vision. You will also provide leadership, and expertise on mission-critical Infrastructure IT to OT shop floor services on Takeda's manufacturing and laboratory environments. You will acts as a Single point of contact (SPOC) and the accountable Competency & Delivery Center for the IT-OT Infrastructure within the Takeda Global Manufacturing and Supply & Global Quality organization (GMSGQ). You will report to the Head of Digital Manufacturing.

How you will contribute:
  • Lead the IT/OT Infrastructure strategy and technology roadmap to enable our Digital Transformation in GMSGQ.
  • Lead a team of 50 individuals organized around four regions (EU/US/South America/Asia) and four IT-OT Infrastructure Center of Excellence (Hosting, Networking, Cyber Security and Shopfloor)
  • In partnership with global organization (e.g. AIDE - Agile Infrastructure, Development & Engineering) develop, maintain, and oversee CIM Services to support all Takeda’s manufacturing sites 24x7x365.
  • Define and ensure the implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s); set standards for quality and ensure that operational activities are implemented following the established standards.
  • Establish quality control mechanisms such as business, periodic quality assurance reviews etc.
  • Guide Infrastructure investments and technology lifecycle program incl. optimal governance, communicate status, solutions and concerns. Disseminate information promptly within the team and across sites and departments. Deliver presentations, facilitate and address issues at all levels of management.
  • Elaborate and manage CIM capital investments and operating budgets.
  • With Takeda IT standards, ensure that IT-OT Infrastructure standards are met and procedures followed to comply with manufacturing environment and needs.
  • Develop, maintain or redefine working relationships and support models with strategic external partners, service providers (on-shore and off-shore) to enhance service quality, improve productivity and improve cost.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Cloud Transformation to transition infrastructure to our ‘cloud first’ strategy and position the CIM team accordingly.
  • Be a Transformation Lead who develop talents and competences to enhance career experiences and prepare the future.
  • Promote operational excellence, simplification, new ways of working, methods (e.g. Agile, DevOps, user experience) to increase the value impact on business.
What you bring to Takeda:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, with focus on manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 8 – 10 years' minimum experience in IT.
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in OT and Industrial Control Systems.
  • Understand current and emerging technologies, digital, and their potential application.
  • Recognized expertise in IT Infrastructure (hosting, networking, cybersecurity) and Digital landscape in the industry.
  • Demonstrated business and technical knowledge in the manufacturing area from shopfloor to enterprise (IT/OT infrastructure, application).
  • Experience large transformation and globalization of organizations and services.
  • Experience implementing large infrastructure programs from start to end across multiple geographies.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of interdependencies that affect the organization.
  • Experience leading changes to deliver more or better.
