markets. As we continue to expand our operations, we are currently seeking an outstanding
Optical Packaging Engineer to join our team at our development and production site located
in the vicinity of Zurich.

Mission
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Optical Packaging Engineer to strengthen our
development and manufacturing processes team. As optical packaging engineer, you will be
developing the next generation of optical packaging for Menhir Photonics lasers. This
development aims to deliver robust and easy to produce products, while preparing the path
towards high-volume and automatized production. This is an exciting opportunity for an
individual with a proven track record in optical packaging and high-scale manufacturing.
You will be responsible:

• Designing protective packaging for Menhir
  Photonics' lasers.
• Selecting appropriate materials for packaging.
• Prototyping and testing packaging designs.
• Ensuring proper alignment and integration of
  optical components.
• Documenting designs and test results.
  Creating manufacturing processes and
  documentation.
• Cost optimization of packaging.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and
  continuous improvement.
• Managing projects and other related
  technical activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years of optical packaging experience, with a solid understanding of
  light delivering technologies.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to optical components
  and systems, as well as emerging trends in optical technology, is beneficial.
• Knowledge and previous experience with opto-mechanic and electro-optic
  integration, hermetic sealing, alignment, bonding, and encapsulation) and optical
  components reliability (e.g. familiarity with Telcordia/MIL (military) standards.
• Proficiency in designing and packaging optical components and systems is crucial.
  This includes knowledge of CAD software for designing optical layouts, packaging
  structures, and thermal management systems.
• Understanding various materials used in optical packaging, as well as
  manufacturing processes such as precision machining, injection molding, and
  thin-film deposition.
• Ability to perform optical testing and characterization of packaged optical
  systems.
• Degree in Optical Engineering.
