Position Summary

The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé's leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As an Associate R&D Specialist Materials Characterization, you will be responsible for supporting Capsule & Packaging Concepts & Projects by selecting & measuring materials properties. You will actively explore novel materials, cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and ensure the viability of potential solutions. A Day in the Life of an Associate R&D Specialist Materials Characterization

Understand materials characteristics and establish specifications for systemsValidate packaging concepts based on data scienceDevelop new measurement methods & technologiesParticipate to material and technology watch in the marketParticipate in Nestlé brainstorming to contribute to successful concepts.Develop expertise within the Team and NSTC, train lab technicians when applicable and encourage knowledge sharing

What will make you successful

Master's degree in Materials ScienceAt least 1-2 experience in packaging for systems in the Food & Beverage industryExperience in paper based compostable solutions is a definite plusInnovative and proactive mindset Team player and willingness to continuously learn and share knowledgeProficiency in English, French is a plus
