Material Production Specialist

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Material Production Specialist with a keen focus on material production to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in helping us set up processes for upscaling production of Oxyle’s catalyst that will be used in water treatment reactors with our pioneering customers. While maintaining safety and quality standards you will support to improve and scale up the production process to industrial volumes and enable on time delivery of catalyst material for our customer projects. Our ideal candidate will be a strong and reliable support to the company’s operations team and has several years of professional experience working in a chemical lab or material production facility.

Your key responsibilities

• Independently implement material fabrication processes in our production facilities based on operating procedures and in compliance with HSE guidelines and quality standards.
• Support the scale-up of the production facilities and processes to increase output and enable on-time delivery of catalyst at the required quality for our water treatment projects.
• Observe and log process steps, and optimize new and existing production procedures in close collaboration with the R&D team.
• Monitor and accurately record usage, yield, quality and efficiency data to track performance vs targets and budget.
• Participate effectively in writing/revising/rolling out accurate operational procedures and training materials
• Carry out improvements and adaptations to the production facilities, as well as maintenance of systems and laboratory equipment, including calibration and qualification.

What you need to bring to the role

• Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician or equivalent education, ideally with 3+ years of professional experience in material production in the chemical or food industry or a similar field.
• Excellent quality and safety awareness, organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Experience in the development and optimization of chemical processes, documentation of results, data evaluation and preparation of reports to support technology transfers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced environment.
• Interest in new technologies, good powers of observation, independent and very precise and clean working style.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken in German and English.
• Knowledge of cGMP and ISO9001:2000 is an advantage
• Have a Swiss working permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland.
