Lead Software Architect

You will be working in an Industrial environment with embedded equipment and closely partner with cross functional teams and experts in our organization.
In this function you will be entrusted with the following main tasks:
- Create and document the software architecture of our group wide tech stack.
- You will be responsible for the design of the software components and their interaction and interoperability in complex and distributed automation and embedded systems
- You drive software specifications from the system requirements, define work packages and create test specifications
- You participate in all discussions related to software development.
- You will work very closely with developers (f/m/d), guide them in implementing state-of-the-art concepts and implement software components yourself
- You will perform code and document reviews, release documentation and support the continuous improvement of the software development process to ensure the quality of implementation and documentation
- You will work closely with the Platform Program Manager and our POs
- You will define the release planning for the continuous improvement of software components during their lifecycle
- You have a degree in computer science, mathematics or several years of professional experience in activities relevant to the job offered
- You have several years of experience in software architecture (design methodology, software modelling, object-oriented analysis, and design)
- You have good knowledge of software development and the complete software lifecycle (specification, implementation, test, deployment, maintenance)
- You preferably have knowledge in programming language such as C++/CPP with common web frameworks
- Excellent background in Linux development
- Strong experience in Interface Programming and design
- You have knowledge of UML and experience with relevant development tools (modelling, requirement & test engineering, software project management, source code management)
- Language abilities: Fluent English is a MUST, French is a strong asset
- You set challenging goals and strive for outstanding results
- Experienced in Large-Size company
- You remain capable of acting and performing under high stress, even in critical situations
- You have the willingness to work agile
- Degree in Computer Science, mathematics or equivalent
- You are business fluent in written and spoken English and have ideally a good command of German

It also trains each year roughly 200 apprentices. The site offers an idyllic work environment. In the countryside and close to major highways, it is also well served by public transport. It offers many amenities, such as a corporate restaurant, sports fields, a fitness and a nursery. The facilities have been recently renovated and represent a model for sustainable development.
