The Position Digital Biomarker Solution Architect

Digital health technology is transforming the way we develop personalized medicines for patients. Roche is dedicated to creating community- and regulator-accepted digital endpoints and digital outcomes that redefine the way we measure disease progression in clinical drug trials, and make them accessible to Biopharma companies and the research community.

We are seeking a Solution Architect who will lead the architectural design of new solutions. This role includes capabilities for the capture, ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis of sensor data across a variety of disease areas, enabling the creation of products that provide new insights through digital biomarker data.

Job Mission

We, the Digital Biomarker (dBM) Chapter in Roche Information Solutions, are an integrated team of scientists, technologists, data analysts and operationalization experts, that leverages mobile technologies like smartphones and wearables to collect objective and continuous sensor data from patients in clinical trials. 

We co-create innovative digital remote monitoring concepts for sensitive and meaningful drug development endpoints, implement them in technology solutions, develop health related outcome measures with the data,  seek community- and regulatory acceptance of corresponding endpoints and offer them to Biopharma companies and research institutes for use in clinical trials. Moreover, we are establishing the scientific foundations for disease monitoring and screening solutions in clinical practice.

Your Impact

In the capacity of Digital Biomarker Solution Architect you will:

  • Design solution architectures that integrate end-to-end mobile sensor data capture and processing into RIS Digital Biomarker products

  • Craft a visionary technology strategy for the digital biomarker technology ecosystem

  • Engage in pre-sales activities  for RIS Digital Biomarker products

  • Collaborate with engineering teams for the implementation of RIS Digital Biomarker products.

Who You Are

  • You possess a genuine enthusiasm for applying innovative technology to digital health challenges.

  • Your educational background includes a University degree (Master, Ph.D., or equivalent) in Computer Science or Scientific Informatics.

  • You have a profound comprehension of digital health applications and use cases .

  • With over 5 yrs of solution architecture experience, you're skilled in designing complex solutions

  • Your experience encompasses leading software development teams and working within large, high-performance, matrix organizations.

  • You're well-versed in agile development methodologies, cloud-based solutions, high-performance computing architectures, and designing scalable workflows for processing large volumes of time series data.
