As the Head of Product Management Digital Banking, you will be responsible for driving the digital product strategy, enhancing end-to-end customer experience (CX) and engagement, overseeing roadmap development, ensuring market compliance, managing client relationships, and formulating commercial strategies. You will lead a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, as well as collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, best-in-class UX, and customer-centric digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Product Strategy: Develop, document, and execute a comprehensive digital product strategy aligned with the organisation's goals, customer needs and market trends. Continuously assess and refine the strategy to stay ahead in the digital banking landscape. Responsible for tracking and achieving KPIs, as well as using them as a success metric with customer and internal stakeholders.

2. End-to-End Customer Experience (CX) and Engagement: Champion a customer-centric approach by optimising every touchpoint of the digital banking journey. Identify opportunities to enhance user experience, increase engagement, and drive customer satisfaction.

3. Roadmap Development: Lead the development of product roadmaps that prioritise features and enhancements based on business objectives, market demands, and customer feedback. Ensure alignment with overall business strategy and resource allocation.

4. Market Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements & payment scheme mandates, and ensure Avaloq digital banking products comply with regional laws and standards. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to industry standards.

5. Client Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and identifying opportunities. Set up and lead the customer community forum with a focus of co-creation on product market fit, user testing and roadmap prioritisation. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and solutions to drive mutual success and satisfaction.

6. Commercial Strategy: Work closely with stakeholders to define and implement commercial strategies that maximise revenue opportunities, optimise pricing models, and drive business growth. Create business cases and offering baselines (scope and pricing) for standard products and add-on features.

7. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation/growth mindset, and continuous experimentation and learning. Set clear goals and expectations and empower team members to achieve their full potential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Product Design, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in Digital Product Management and Design within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking trends, and web & mobile solutions best practices and design patterns.
  • Growth-mindset and data-driven approach to product development.
  • Excellent design thinking, analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through cross-functional collaboration.
